 For ALL services except electronic discovery consulting, I charge flat fees and I do not bill hourly. Hourly billing is archaic and incentivizes lawyers to bill their clients for events as ridiculous as leaving voicemail messages. I am not going to do that. As an example, for an uncontested divorce with no children and where both spouses are in complete agreement on every issue, my charge is $700.00, which includes the court costs. And that $700.00 is the total that you will pay for the entirety of your divorce process.
However, I charge flat fees for all cases whether you are involved in a bitter contract dispute, a disagreement with your landlord, a modification of child custody, or real estate litigation. After discussing the facts and circumstances of your particular case, I will quote you a flat fee.
I charge $100.00 for a consultation. If we talk for ten minutes or three hours, the charge for a consultation is $100.00.
